Spring break is here! Have some fun!

So it’s spring break! Are you stuck for fun ideas to do with the kids? Well we have a few things that are fun for the whole family!

Pinnacle Mountain State Park is offering a mini-day camp for your kids for $15. And if you don’t want to pay for a mini-camp just going to one of the many state parks with your kids would be fun!

Lots of the Central Arkansas Libraries are offering things throughout the week. Everyday the kids come in and do a fun activity!

Heifer Village is having fun and educational activities all week for spring break. Your kids can learn about global hunger and what Heifer International does in a fun, hands-on way. They’ll have arts and crafts, exhibit hunts and more. The Clinton Library also has many interesting exhibits about the Clinton’s and the White House.

Go digging for diamonds with the family! It’s a messy, hands on way to play in the dirt! And who knows you may even find a diamond! Plus you get to keep whatever you find! The park is in Murfreesboro, which is about a 2 hours drive from Little Rock.

Visit the Little Rock Zoo Take your kids on an animal adventure. You can ride the carousel, have lunch at Cafe Africa and see lots of animals, and it only takes a few hours. Or if you want to travel a little bit head to the Memphis Zoo for a new Dinosaurs! Exhibit.

Visit the Museum of Discovery! The museum has recently been rennovated so if you haven’t been stop by and see all the fun things for your kids to do! It’s full of fun, hands-on exhibits that encourage kids to think, play and learn.

If you want to stay close to home just head to a city park near you! It will let your kids run, jump, and play for free.

Catch a matinee at the Arkansas Arts Center Chilren’s Theatre! If You Take a Mouse to School is playing on March 20-23. Everyone’s favorite mischevious mouse, based on the book series by Laura Numeroff, is getting his paws into everything! Matinees are 2-3 p.m. it is $14, children $11. They are also offering a workshop at the Arkansas Arts Center for kids to hit the art studio. It starts March 19 and is until March 23. Kids will get to learn painting tips, printmaking, playing with clay and paper mache.
